Jan Egins, D.V.M

Dr. Egins began her veterinary career in 1986 at Town & Country Veterinary Clinic. In 1988, Dr. Egins joined the practice at Fair Oaks Veterinary Clinic. In 2003, she returned to the Town & Country Family by joining the veterinary team of Town & Country West Veterinary Clinic. Jan enjoys family life in Powder Springs, GA and spends most of her time participating in the active life of her amazing son.

Susan Goodman, D.V.M

Dr. Goodman began practicing with Fair Oaks Veterinary Clinic in 1986 (co-owned by Dr. Harrison and Dr. Good). With the retirement of Dr Harrison in 2003, Susan moved to Town & Country West Veterinary Clinic in Marietta, GA. Dr. Goodman resides in west Georgia on a farm with cattle, horses and mules, chickens, cats and a dog.

Danielle Jordan, D.V.M

Dr. Danielle Jordan was born and raised in the Atlanta area. Being a veterinarian was her dream since the age of seven. She attended the University of Georgia where she played college soccer for four years and graduated in 2000 with a biology degree. From there, Danielle moved to Grenada, West Indies to attend St. George's University School of Veterinary Medicine. She spent three years in Grenada and completed her clinical year at the University of Georgia Veterinary School. Danielle graduated from St. George's University with a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine in 2004. After graduation, she moved to Long Island, New York and worked at a small animal practice for two and a half years.

Danielle joined the Town & Country Family in 2008. She worked at the main clinic location of Town & Country for several years before moving to Town & Country West in 2011. Danielle enjoys working with rescue groups and has traveled to Panama several times to help with low cost spay and neuters. She also loves traveling and spending time with her dogs, Piton, Molly and Tommy.

Maria Fiorillo, D.V.M

Dr. Maria  Fiorillo  grew up in  New York City wishing she could own a horse.  When it became clear that was not a possibility she decided to apply for  Vet school to be  among her  beloved animals. 

She attended Cornell University College of Veterinary Medicine and graduated in 1993.  While in school she did an internship in Australia to work with birds.  After graduation she worked in Puerto Rico with the US Fish and Wildlife Service to help recouperate the endangered Puerto Rican parrot in the Luqillo rainforest.

Dr. Maria also practiced in Spain for a year.  Her focus was to encourage preventative heathcare including spaying/neutering pets. 

Dr. Maria lives in Marietta with her husband, two teenage  sons and a poodle names Priscilla.  Her hobbies are tennis and hiking Kennesaw Mountain.  She enjoys practicing her Spanish with her  Spanish-speaking clients. 

Veterinarian & Co-Owner

Tamara Eck, D.V.M

Dr. Tamara Eck graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Madison's School of Veterinary Medicine with the intent of pursuing a career in zoo and wildlife animal medicine. She went to Chicago where she specialized in feline medicine. Excessive metal in her leg caused her to give up her zoo career goals and seek a warmer climate. Dr. Eck moved to Fayetteville, NC and became proficient at ultrasound in general practice. The opportunity arose for her to become the professional services veterinarian for a veterinary imaging company in Kennesaw, GA. Her favorite duty as a professional services veterinarian was teaching ultrasound courses for fellow practitioners. Dr. Eck offered a mobile ultrasound service and provided onsite training before joining Town & Country Veterinary Clinic and later Town & Country West Veterinary Clinic. Cardiology is her area of interest. She lives with her cats Sebastian and Swarovski in Dallas, GA. Dr. Eck loves the outdoors and particularly enjoys fishing from her kayak.

Veterinarian/ Ultrasonographer

Lisa Edwards, D.V.M

Dr. Edwards is a graduate of The University of Georgia with a degree in Animal Science.  She obtained her veterinary degree four years later, in 1996, from the College of Veterinary Medicine.  After working full time in small animal medicine for several years, she transitioned to relief work to better juggle both motherhood and medicine.  For the past decade she has worked at many practices in the northwest metro area and is pleased to now be working frequently at Town and Country West.  Dr. Edwards spends her ‘off’ time volunteering for her children’s schools, knitting, singing for The Buddy O’Reilly Band and caring for the family pets, Stripes, Stormy, Sunny and Samoa (respectively - diabetic, arthritic, neurotic and terminally friendly).



Cheryl was born in Georgia and raised in both Georgia and Indiana. She has worked with Dr. Goodman and Dr. Egins for over 15 years. She has been with Town & Country West Veterinary Clinic since 2003. Starting in kennels, Cheryl has worked as a receptionist, veterinary assistant and is currently our assistant office manager & reception manager. In her spare time, she enjoys her dog Coco Pebbles, photography and hiking.

Jeanette is from Marietta and currently lives in Woodstock with her two children and lab mix, Tyson. She has been with Town & Country West Veterinary Clinic since 2001 as a receptionist. Jeanette loves to spend time with her family and friends. 



Kimberly was born and raised in Paulding County where she currently lives with her dog, Rocky and Molly. Kimberly began her career with animals in 2008 working as a grooming assistant. In her spare time, she enjoys drawing, painting, fishing and relaxing with her family. Her favorite breed is the American Pit Bull Terrier. 

Receptionist Manager


 When Antwan is not at work he is in school studying art. He spent most of his life overseas living in Japan. He likes drawing, watching tv, movies and listening to music.



Will is a career veterinary professional. Born and raised in Marietta, he currently lives in Atlanta with his loyal dog, Sparky. He has spent the last 12 years dedicated to helping veterinarians care for their patients. A self proclaimed science nerd, Will enjoys learning and spends much of his time reading and watching documentaries.

Jessica Scott

Jessica is a Georgia native who has a long time compassion and respect for all animals. She has worked in the veterinary field since 2003 and as a pet sitter since 2008. She is on the board of directors for Farm of the Free, a farm animal sanctuary, and has volunteered with many other sanctuaries and small animal rescue organizations. She shares her home with her dog Decker and two cats Elliot and Gideon. Her goal is to treat every animal like her own and make sure they are as comfortable as they can be during their visit. 


Head Veterinary Assistant


Becca is a native of Cobb County. Growing up, she made her spending money pet sitting for neighbors. Her first official job was as a groomer's assistant at a local grooming parlor. She has been working in veterinary medicine for more than four years. When not at work, Becca can be found taking classes at Kennesaw State University, playing with her dogs (Mimi and Darlynn) and three cats (Lady, Dude, and Percy).

Since the age of 6 Cindy knew she wanted to work with animals. She started with Dr. Goodman and Dr. Egins. Cindy has worked at several hospitals but is happiest to be working with the doctors and staff here at Town & Country West.

Although Raymond is certified as a human Phlebotomist, Physiology, Anatomy and Medical Terminology. Raymond's heart was really with animals so he works with pets now.

Stephanie is currently perusing a career in the Veterinary field to become a veterinary technician. She loves animals and enjoys being outdoors. On the weekends she is riding her dirt bike, on the boat & wake boarding with her friends. Stephanie likes reading novels of all types.

Kendra has been at Town and Country West since 2014. Working with animals is a passion of hers. When she is not at work she enjoys spending time with friends and family. Especially her two kids Sahygan and Kaysen. Her favorite breed is dachshund which she has two of, Callie and Lucy.

Olivia Woodward

Olivia grew up in powder springs and has been working in the veterinary field since high school. She began as a kennel worker and trained here at town and country west to become a technician. She loves all animals, but has a special place in her heart for senior pets.

Samantha spends most of her time hiking around Georgia with her two German shepherds Cato and Atlas. When she isn't at work she can be found riding horses, cooking something delicious or simply reading a good novel.

Born in San Juan,  Puerto Rico moved to Acworth, GA in 2016 looking for new challenges and adventures.  All my life I have been around animals.  It makes me feel very good take care of them.  In the future I would like to continue studying and working in the veterinary field.  In my free time love to play the ukulele and play with my little friend Laila(cat).

Originally from Venezuela, Oliver has a background in Business Administration, Marketing, Market Research, Web Development and also is an active Real Estate Agent. He started working in the Veterinary industry since 2002 and has been in charge of  Practice Management and maximization of profits since then.

Courtney Mellard

Courtney was born and raised in Georgia where animals have always been a main focus of her life. She started working in kennels while in high school and worked as a veterinarian assistant during college. She started at Town and Country West in Sept. 2018. In her free time she loves being outside with her husband and two dogs.

Born in Ohio, Caryl moved to Georgia in 1987. She has been working with both Dr. Egins and Dr. Goodman since 1995 and has held almost every position in the veterinary field. She enjoys outdoor activities and spending time with her cats and her dog, Krusty.

Mayela Alsina

Mayela Alsina was born and raised in Puerto Rico. She started working with animals during high school and has never looked back.  After graduating with a degree in Environmental Sciences in 2004, she moved to Chicago and attended Western Illinois University graduating with a Masters in Biology in 2011. While in Chicago she worked as a Veterinary Technician at Shedd Aquarium for over six years.  In 2012 she moved to Atlanta for a new job as an experienced aquatics Veterinary Technician caring for all the animals which call Georgia Aquarium their home. She has also participated in multiple field and research projects as well as rehab and rescue of marine animals. Always looking forward to the next challenge, in 2018 Mayela has come to Town and Country West while returning to school for sonography with the goal of using those skills in the veterinary world.

Ashanti Rajasekera

Ashanti was born in Sri lanka where she began her veterinary career. She has a background in Marketing and Management. Her passion has always been to work with all types of animals. She moved to London to get her training as a vet nurse. She feels blessed now to be a part of the Town and Country West Veterinary Clinic's family.


Sarah Gregory

Sarah grew up in Texas and moved to Georgia during her freshman year of high school. She loves to do volunteer work and has a passion for giving back to the community. She's a recent high school graduate and intended pre-vet major at the University of Georgia. In her free time, she likes to paint, go on bike rides, and watch comedy movies. But she loves nothing more than spending time with her dog, Dottie, and her two cats, Tony and Glory.


Brent O'Grady

Born and raised in Marietta, Georgia Brent O'Grady graduated from Chattahoochee Technical College in 2018 with a degree in Medical Administrative Assisting. He has a passion for animals and is glad to be putting his degree to use for Town and Country West Veterinary Clinic. His favorite hobbies include: cooking, hanging out with friends, and playing wheelchair basketball.
