Dr. Maria Fiorillo grew up in New York City wishing she could own a horse. When it became clear that was not a possibility she decided to apply for Vet school to be among her beloved animals.
She attended Cornell University College of Veterinary Medicine and graduated in 1993. While in school she did an internship in Australia to work with birds. After graduation she worked in Puerto Rico with the US Fish and Wildlife Service to help recouperate the endangered Puerto Rican parrot in the Luqillo rainforest.
Dr. Maria also practiced in Spain for a year. Her focus was to encourage preventative heathcare including spaying/neutering pets.
Dr. Maria lives in Marietta with her husband, two teenage sons and a poodle names Priscilla. Her hobbies are tennis and hiking Kennesaw Mountain. She enjoys practicing her Spanish with her Spanish-speaking clients.
